Hiking in Forest

A gentle beginning for your healing journey.

Whether you’re arriving here with clarity or with questions, with hope or with exhaustion, you are welcome.

Most people who find their way to Riverbend Counseling are carrying something tender—an ache, a transition, a pattern they’re ready to understand, or a deep desire to come home to themselves.

This page is here to help you know where to begin.

Who I Work With

I support adults who are navigating:

  • Developmental and attachment wounds

  • Religious or spiritual trauma

  • Relationship and sexuality concerns

  • Nervous system dysregulation, chronic overwhelm, or burnout

  • Life transitions, identity shifts, and “threshold moments”

  • Complex trauma and the lingering imprints of the past

  • Desire for deeper meaning, connection, and alignment

My work is rooted in Somatic Experiencing, depth psychology, EMDR, sex therapy, and a relational, intuitive approach that honors the wisdom of the body and the story of the soul. If you are longing to feel more grounded, more whole, more connected to yourself and your life—this is a good place to begin.

What Working Together Feels Like

Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It’s about rediscovering yourself. You can expect:

  • A space that honors your pace

  • A therapist who is present, attuned, and grounded

  • Work that includes the body, not just the mind

  • Conversations that welcome depth, nuance, and complexity

  • Permission to explore desire, intuition, and spiritual questions

  • Tools that help you regulate, re-pattern, and reconnect

  • An approach that treats symptoms as invitations—not failures

Here, your story is held with respect. Your boundaries matter. Your expressions—anger, grief, longing, joy—are all welcome guests.

How to Get Started

There are two simple steps:

1. Schedule a Consultation

A free 30 minute visit helps us determine whether we’re a good fit and what kind of support you’re seeking.

This is a low-pressure conversation—you don’t need to prepare anything.

2. Begin Therapy

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first session and you’ll receive intake paperwork electronically. In our first session, you can simply show up as you are. I’ll guide our conversation, help us create grounding, and begin mapping what your nervous system and your story are asking for.

Fees & Logistics

  • Sessions are 50 minutes

  • Sessions are $170 for 50 minute individual counseling and $250 for 90 minute couples counseling

  • Payment is due at the time of service

  • I am not a Medicaid provider

  • I am out-of-network for insurance but can provide superbills upon request

  • Sessions are offered in-person and virtually for Colorado residents and virtually for Utah residents

If you have questions about fees, paperwork, or anything logistical, please reach out. I want this beginning to feel as easeful as possible.

Is This the Right Fit?

Choosing a therapist is intimate work.

Here are a few signs we may be aligned:

  • You feel deeply, intuitively, even if you’ve been conditioned to suppress it

  • You’re drawn to somatic or spiritual integration

  • You value honesty, curiosity, and depth

  • You’re ready to tend to what has been avoided or misunderstood

  • You’re craving a relationship with yourself that feels more loving, empowered, and embodied

If any part of you is saying yes—or even quietly wondering—trust that. Curiosity is often the doorway.

A Final Word

Healing is not linear. It is a riverbend—a turning you often didn’t expect, revealing new ground beneath your feet. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you navigate your own turning.

Whenever you’re ready, begin here.
